Who We Are

We are a small family who grew up in Las Vegas and moved to rural Tennessee for a short one year period. Just recently we decided to come back to the desert and currently reside in Pahrump Nevada with our 7 Golden Retrievers.

My personal breeding experience actually begins as a child in the world of Akitas. Both of my parents spent ample amounts of time in the show ring with this beautiful breed. Once I had my son, I decided on English Cream Golden Retrievers as my forever dogs because I truly believe they are the ultimate family dog. I have been raising and showing my entire life.

How are we different?

The majority of our parent dogs come from the world famous Tramin Kennel in Ukraine. All of our adult dogs come champion titled and fully health tested with FCI. These are TRUE European imported dogs that produce quality puppies true to the European standard. If you are looking for the large, boxy type, large boned golden retriever, you have come to the right place! 

We do not use kennel systems like some breeders, instead our golden retriever puppies and adult dogs live inside the house with the family. Because each pup receives individual attention in a home environment, your puppy will be set up for success upon arriving at your home. We pride ourselves in well-socialized and confident puppies who are ready for your family.

Our Program

Health

  • All of our puppies come with a 2 year genetic health guarantee.
  • Most parents are fully finished (confirmation titles) and come from an established breeder in Ukraine with over 35 years of tracked genetics. We have worked for many years to establish these lines here in The States. As our program grows and evolves over time, we are dedicated to improving the health of the breed with the very best available parent dogs. We are on a mission to produce puppies who go on to live full healthy and happy lives that give their families abundant joy.
  • Early neurological stimulation (ENS) is preformed from days 3-16 of the puppy’s life. These exercises introduces the puppy to small amounts of controlled stress in effort to stimulate the immune system. When preformed at the appropriate age, ENS can greatly impact a dogs long term health in many ways. Be sure to read our blog about early neurological stimulation and why you should choose a breeder who prioritizes these exercises in their program.

Socialization

  • All puppies are raised in our home from birth until they go to your home forever. Puppies are exposed to all the sights, sounds, and smells they would experience in any home. Testimonials from our past families prove time and time again that raising puppies in this way is the VERY BEST way. This type of environment makes the transition to your home seamless for you and the puppy.

  • We expose the puppies to kids and adults of all ages, races, and genders. They are exposed to chickens, cats, and safe adult dogs. At the appropriate age, puppies go for car rides and are exposed to road noise. They attend a minimum of 1 vet visit before they leave us. On occasion and when its safe to do so, puppies will go on other visits in public.

  • Here at Southern Nevada Goldens, we believe proper and controlled socialization at the right ages makes for a very well rounded and confident puppy. This makes the transition to their forever family much smoother for them and their humans!

Training

  • At 5 weeks of age, puppies are introduced to the crate for the first time. By the time they are 8 weeks they will have had plenty of time sleeping in the closed crate by themselves. Again, just one more thing to check off your list! 
  • All puppies are trained to relieve themselves on litter trays which begins the transition to house breaking. On occasion, we begin house breaking by giving access to doggie doors (this depends on time and availability)
  •  This training service reinforces our philosophy that a well trained dog is a pleasure to be around!
